3 Days Tour from Marrakech to Merzouga Desert
Cross the High Atlas, walk through Aït Ben Haddou's kasbah, descend the Dades Valley and sleep two nights under the stars at Erg Chebbi.
From imperial Fes through the blue Rif to the Mediterranean — finishing where Africa meets Europe.
Our 2-day tour from Fes to Tangier turns the transfer between two of Morocco's most characterful cities into a journey worth taking slowly. Rather than a featureless motorway dash, you travel privately through the green Rif Mountains, spend an afternoon and evening in the blue city of Chefchaouen, then descend the next day to Tangier — the cosmopolitan port where the Mediterranean meets the Atlantic and Africa looks across to Europe.
It's the ideal way to link Fes with onward travel north (including the ferry to Spain), and it works equally well as a standalone northern adventure. Everything is private and tailor-made, led by a native driver-guide, with no deposit until your itinerary is approved.
Private local Berber & Arab guides who know every kasbah, dune and shortcut.
Reserve your dates now and pay nothing until your itinerary is approved.
Every stop, hotel and pace is built around you — never a fixed coach group.
Reachable on WhatsApp before and during your trip, day or night.
We leave Fes after breakfast and head north into the Rif Mountains, the landscape turning steadily greener and more rugged — a side of Morocco few visitors expect. The road climbs through olive groves and cork-oak forest, with viewpoints over deep valleys and whitewashed villages clinging to the slopes. By early afternoon we reach Chefchaouen, the famous blue city, in time to settle in and explore while the light is soft. You'll wander the stepped, cobalt-washed lanes, browse the Rif's wool and crafts, and climb to the Spanish Mosque viewpoint for sunset over the blue medina. Staying overnight means you experience the town at its calmest, after the day-trippers have gone, with a relaxed dinner and time simply to enjoy the atmosphere. (approx. 4 hrs driving, with stops)
After a morning stroll through Chefchaouen we descend out of the Rif toward the Mediterranean, the air changing as the sea appears. Following the coast we reach Tangier by early afternoon — a city layered with Phoenician, Roman, Portuguese and international history, long a magnet for writers and artists. With your guide you can explore the medina and kasbah, with their sea views and faded grand houses, and drive out to Cape Spartel, where the Atlantic and Mediterranean meet, and the dramatic Caves of Hercules with their Africa-shaped opening to the sea. The tour ends at your Tangier hotel or the port, perfectly placed if you're continuing by ferry to Spain. (approx. 4 hrs driving, plus Tangier sightseeing)
You sleep in hand-picked riads and boutique hotels, plus a comfortable Sahara camp with private en-suite tents, real beds and a Berber dinner under the stars. Choose standard, superior or luxury and we match it.
Travel in a private, air-conditioned 4x4 or modern minivan with your own English-speaking driver-guide. No shared coaches and no waiting — you set the pace and stop wherever you like for photos.
Choose your comfort level — Comfort, Superior or Luxury — and we hand-pick every riad, kasbah hotel and desert camp to match. Exact properties are confirmed on your personalised itinerary.
| Night | Area | Where you stay | Board |
|---|---|---|---|

Your overnight is in Chefchaouen, in a characterful hotel or guesthouse within or beside the blue medina — many with roof terraces overlooking the blue rooftops and the surrounding Rif peaks. Dinner is included, as is breakfast before the drive to the coast.
The comfort level is yours to choose, from simple and authentic to boutique or luxury, and you approve the accommodation before paying a deposit. If you'd like to add a night in Tangier at the end, we're glad to arrange that too.
This tour is especially popular with travellers heading onward — to Tangier itself, or across the Strait of Gibraltar to Tarifa or Algeciras in Spain. Ending in Tangier with its port and airport makes the connection seamless, and we can time the second day around your ferry or flight.
It also slots neatly into a longer Morocco itinerary: many people pair it with our Fes and desert tours so they travel south to north across the whole country, finishing on the Mediterranean. Tell us your onward plans and we'll shape the timing to fit.

Yes. We can drop you at Tangier Med or the city port and time the second day around your ferry, or at your Tangier hotel if you're staying.
Very much — staying the night means you see the blue city at sunset and early morning, far calmer and more beautiful than the midday crowds, and it breaks the journey comfortably.
Absolutely. We can build in a guided afternoon of Tangier's medina, kasbah and Cape Spartel, and add a night in the city if you'd like more time.
