Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know before you travel

The questions travellers ask us most often. Still unsure about something? Just ask us — we reply within 24 hours.

Do I need a visa to visit Morocco?

Citizens of the EU, UK, USA, Canada, Australia and many other countries do not need a visa for stays of up to 90 days — you simply get a stamp on arrival. Always check your own country's current requirements before travelling.

Is Morocco safe for tourists?

Yes. Morocco is one of the safest countries in Africa for visitors and is very welcoming to tourists, including solo and female travellers. Normal city common-sense applies in busy medinas. Our guides stay with you throughout private tours.

When is the best time to visit Morocco?

Spring (March–May) and autumn (September–November) are ideal, with warm days and comfortable desert nights. Summer is hot inland but fine on the coast; winter is cold in the desert and Atlas but quiet and beautiful.

How does a private tour with Morocco Tours work?

You tell us your dates and interests, we design a tailor-made itinerary and quote, you approve it, and you pay no deposit until you're happy. On the trip you have your own driver-guide and vehicle and can adjust the pace any time.

How much does a Morocco tour cost?

It depends on length, season and accommodation level. Shared essentials like a 3-day desert tour start around €185 per person; private luxury trips cost more. We quote transparently with no hidden shopping commissions.

What should I wear in Morocco?

Light, breathable clothing that covers shoulders and knees is respectful and comfortable, especially in medinas and rural areas. Bring a warm layer for desert nights and sturdy shoes for gorges and kasbahs.

Is the tap water safe to drink?

We recommend bottled or filtered water, which is cheap and widely available. Our vehicles carry water on desert tours.

Can you arrange tours for families or large groups?

Absolutely — we tailor vehicles, pace and activities for families with children and for larger groups, and can provide child seats on request.
